I usually don't like to minip my landscape/nature type shots, but in this case the bushes behind the flower distracted my eye too much and ruined the shot. But i really liked this weard looking flower and there isn't anything like it where i live.
so it came down to manip or delete.

I've noticed that on a few of your flower shots you have attached a black background to them. This is an excellent idea, as it sets off the often brilliantly colored blossom itself. It is especially effective on this photo, as the deep sapphire blue is complimented by the black.
You have a knack for interesting photographing interesting flowers, at good angles. Two things that stand out to me, however, a high percentage of them are centered, closely cropped, and in color. This is a good tactic, but to add even more interest to your floral gallery, you might want to experiment with some filters, of different positions when it comes to the subjects themselves.
And finally, thank you for the two critiques you gave me! I too have trouble getting people to critique as well. Compliments are nice for gaining confidence, but criticism is needed for advancement.
